Rep Power: 4 ![]() | DSG - Results for 3rd Mini Casting Competition 26 March 2006 Hi Guys, It was a very wet day. All casters were ready by 3 pm but mother nature opens up it's blessing and a very very heavy rain follow up. I have to saluite to all the casters today for braving the rain and no one gave up waiting for the rain to stop. We finally get started after 5 pm. Everyone in a very cheerful mood despite the weather. Below are the results for the March Casting Competition. Congrat to casters who acheived their personal best (PB). To those who have a bad day, try harder next time and keep on practising. It's really nice to see more casters participating and closing up the gap with their handicap ranking. In no time we will see most casters acheiving at least 180m. Our aim in coming future is to acheive negative handicap. This will definitely inject more interest to new casters. For our coming open tournament next month we will definitely expect to see more competitive outcome. Once again well done and see you on the next coming competition. Pics will be loaded later. Sorry guys pics can only be update dlater due to fatigue affecting yours truly. To all casters who wish to have the full recorded distant for the past 3 mini competition, you may provde me your email and I will sent the Excel to you upon request. Rep Power: 3 ![]() | How 1 mm make a great difference? My cast is 180m, so under the HC ruling, I got +2meters HC. Therefore, relative distance is 182 meters. What if my cast is 179.99m? I will have +4 meters HC and my relative distance is 183.99 meters. Ho Say liaw. 1mm makes a 1.99 meters difference. So the moral of the story is: 1) Available red-bulls and tong ka ali before any casts. 2) PMA. Don't cast like a Ku-Liang. The HC either benefit you or pull you back, just like me in this case. X-files Ozzy. Put on your PMA cap and get that extra 2 meters, and the HC will be on your side. When I mention PMA cap, don't confuse with Durex. 3) Bottom line, it is a great effort put in by the organisers. Just enjoy the day and forget about the distance. ![]() |

Rep Power: 4 ![]() | Mr Lee, Wah Lanz...sorry hor my maths very bad. Next mini league, we will give you a handicap of 5m but you must also stand 5m away from the margin... I think everyone had fun...standing under that umbrella for almost 1 hour In the end, i think all of enjoy ourselves. Look forward to the next one with more casters joining us. Regards physlo |

Put it this way. Why don you practice a bit harder and cast 189.99m and you HC will be 2 and your distant recorded will be 191.99 instead of HC -2 and distant of 187.99. Anyway Bro, the handicap is not meant to penalise your casting distant but more for the new guys so that they don't feel to far away from the season casters. Remember our main aim is to have as many casters as possible to reach certain standard i.e. more than 190m and aiming to cross 200m if possible. Looking at the past 3 mini comp results looks like we are on the right track.I am waiting for you to cross 190 marks by next comp. The real one will be end of April Bro. That is an open tourney without any handicap. All on level term. What you cast is what you get. Cheers
