Rep Power: 4 | DayDay, Sure it can be done. I have an Avet SX that have a magnet stick to the left side plate. The mod is done by one of our fellow casters here. I'll try to get some photos for the benefit of the rest. The mag reel can cast the 15lbs mono lines with 60lbs shock leader with long range single hook rig with pasir pasir easily without any over run (bee hoon). Distant wise not too sure perhaps estimated in the excess of 100m base on the remaning line bal on the spool after the cast. There are surf fishios/casters that are able to cast further than this without problem provided the rig itself is streamlined and held by the impact shield to minimise the helicopter resulting in shorter casting distant. For MXL it definitely can be mag but not so easy for surfcasting cos abit bulky and heavy. Hope this helps. Cheers, Ozzy |
