    Here's my tournament casting reel:

5500-sized custom CT cage, ceramic bearings and a Benfield mag plate. All the custom work was done by me.

The reel is mounted on my primary casting rod, a 14' Penn PPT Copperhead.

Re: Show case your precious reel

    Haha thanks!

Here's my favorite fishing reel, the Penn 525 Mag. This one also has some custom tuning inside, but unfortunately it didn't help me on this cast. That was a blowup from hell. LOL.

The second reel is an Abu Garcia 6500 Blue Yonder, a very popular fishing reel over here. I ended up converting that one to a distance casting reel for a guy in Europe.

The third is an Abu Ambassadeur 7000. More of a heavier-duty fishing reel. That one went to a guy on the Outer Banks for heavy drum and shark fishing off the beach.

Hahaha... that mess on your Penn really looks like Big Bird's nest. Just curious, what's that pretty green line on your Blue Yonder? Berkley Iron Silk or Ande Envy Green? I'm totally hopeless with overheads and only use spinners.

That is actually Berkeley Big Game in their Solar Collector Green. My second favorite fishing line, after Sufix Tritanium.
