    Casting Practice

A couple videos of my practice sessions. I'm not a high-class caster by any means (hung up around 170 meters), but I'm working on it . Any suggestions or comments are always appreciated.

    Unhappy Re: Casting Practice

hi did ur rod flew or broke? I also have a HDX GT in my hand but I broke 2 of the tip. How do u rate the HDX? Personally I find it is a very good rod that can achieve acceptable distance but it's not durable. Agree?
Does one stomach need to be as big as Danny Moeskop in order to cast 280m?

    If that's the case, I will EAT MORE ! ! !

No, the failure in the video was with my baseball not my rod. I've found the HDX to be a very competent caster, with a lot of power that I just can't tap yet.

The HDX and Tournament Butt I have is actually a replacement. The guy who owned it before me snapped it the first time out in the field. Nick worked the problem out (it was a fault in the graphite) and replaced the tip for free.

    Re: Casting Practice

I throw the HDX as a 150g rod. Took a trip down south to the big field this weekend and finally managed to break 600' (180m) with the HDX/5500CT Benfield throwing the 150. There's a lot of power in that rod that I'm still not harnessing. I need to hit the gym hard between now and the first of our casting competitions.
