Hello Fellows,

My family is planning a short weekend break away in Bintan Lagoona Resort during the coming sept school holidays.

Can anyone advice is this place good for lure casting or surf casting ? Just would like to kill some times there to cure hand itch.

If you just walk along the beach, you can see small rock islets (mini-islands) 40-80 metres off the beach.

According to the knowledgeable locals of Bintan, if you can make it out to those little rock islets, you can get some good fish. Around dawn, very early morning, on a high tide, would be a good time.

I have not personally fished the beach there, though. Boat fishing in Bintan is so much easier and much more productive.

Thank you for your advice. No chance for boat fishing during my visit because we will be staying there for just one night so can plan for luring or surfcast fishing only
