I'm looking for a lightweight, US style surf rod that goes well with 3-4oz sinkers and a Van Staal 150 (loaded with 10-15lb nylon). Please recommend rods that are available locally and best if priced BELOW SGD$250
I saw a Fenwick Saltstick @ Changi Pro Fishing quite some time back but they don't have it anymore. They seemed pretty sturdy and affordable! Xzoga and SeaHawk also makes US style surf rods but I can't find any reviews for them. Not sure if they are worth getting.
The only other rod that I know is light is the old Team Daiwa S surf but they come with horrible looking guides and it'll be such a hassle to reguide it!
