A reeeeally short review of last Sundays trip out

To cut the long story short... I'm organising fishing trips for my department and tagged along more as technical support. Had to make sure my colleagues were doing the "right" thing. So I was jigging the whole time and had lend my outfit to my friend who was using a light spin outfit later in the day (Poor guy was having a hard time and I didn't want him to lose a fish due to tackle failure if he hooked something good) Anyway we shifted around quite a bit and caught "Johnson" most of the time. A greedy little Johnson even tried to swallow my 68g jig!! Before the day ended, one of the guys hit a Parrot fish and that was the only decent fish we had. Man... talk about arse luck.

    Sounds like a Johnson trip

But dude Johnson makes great fish soup if you boil it with some gingers and salted veggie.

    Cheers,
    Edy

Deep fried Johnsons with shallots and black sauce are heaven! I still salivate when I think of that plate of deep fried Johnsons we had in Pulau Babi Besar when I was 13...
