    North West Island. 2009.

Bit of a belated post as we went late last year.
Did our annual trip up north camping. Had 30 people this year and it included 7 kids.
We were hindered this year with some unpleasent weather, wind, rain and dirty water.
But out of all this we still had a few nice days.
With the bad weather, this stopped us bait fishing and Soft plastic fishing as much as we liked. Still the kids had a great time catching a few fish and the adults got a few nice fish.
We had no problems with feeding 30 people every second night with fish.

    The Island

    Small Trout on a popper.

    Best Mackeral for the trip.
Zoe with a big fish, If you look at the rod it's broken. This is what happens when the rod touches the side of the boat.

    Daughter with a fish

    Sam with his first Mackeral.

    Michael with a Trout.

Lucas with a Trout that he shared with a Shark.
He speared this fish and as he bought it in a shark raced in and chomped it right in front of him. Exciting stuff.

    Lucas with a Bludger Trevally.

Spangled Emperor. Ellie is 70+ years old, so age is no barrier.

    John with another Spangled.

My 2 girls with a Bream.

    Storm clouds on the horizon.

    Little GT with the kids.

George with a couple of Crays.

Dinner was always a mix of fish.

Muck around after dinner, lie in the hammock waiting for the tide and sharks to come in.

    The end result.

Sorry about the long post and there's heaps more ......

    Gordon,

How often do you go there camping? Perhaps next time a group of us from FishingOuting could go there and camp/fishing with you

    Cheers,

Unfortunately this year I don't believe I'm going as my Wife has work issues.
If I went I would be with my mates and could go Fishing and spearfish any time I like ............
