This is what we caught, think it is low for a 3D2N trip....

Not bad bro but TP seems to produce tons of bulat and kaci these days unfortunately...ang chors getting very rare

I agreed with MarkR ... sometimes you can't even get a single piece of bulat or kaci ...

I guess the fish stock is depleting over that side.

Being a newbie so not too sure as it is my first trip there.
kacis we gotten a few but think no bulat(no one on board mentioned so i think dont have).
Ang chor = 0, except for one they called golden snapper.
golden snapper in local dialect = ?

Maybe another sad case of over fishing......
Heard that the "popular" areas like sedili, permanggil, aur, kk, are also depleting in stock and sizes......

good catch rate man ! Too bad the island has a bad reputation amongst Singapore women.. the last time I wanted to go there for bottom fishing my wife commented that that place is only good for chicken den so 'mai-kay-si' and use fishing to visit the island.. duh..

Fantastic shot ! My wifey used to follow me to fish and dive but now we have 2 young boys someone (can't be me ) got to stay home and take care of them right?

My wife used to dive with me too, but we kinda ran out of time to dive after the kids came along and she is not interested in fishing....

Like Mikey, I have found that fishing has many "hidden" costs, especially in terms of visa fees....

I do note the presence of one nice sized ACK in the pics....

mine is with the overhead reel and hers the fixed spool type...

For my baby, my mum is helping us out...... so both can go at the same time. Just like us men, wifey need to destress too......

Some guys have all the luck.
the ACk caught on the first morning, i took a nap at 4am(Sing time), woke up before 6am(Sing time) hoping to kanna something nice and big...

all the rest were sleeping, was alone for about half an hour or so, friend woke up and joined me, less than 15 minutes, he hit the ACK......

so early bird catches the worm theory doesnt work here..... and he was just next to me....
