Indonesia Mangrove Jacks at Lobam, Bintan

Just recieved a Minnkota Riptide 40 lb electric motor from my Aussies friend. Macth it with 16ft Pelican Scanoe.
This morning, go for test drive and usual breadfast Lure fishing exercise.
Very lucky manage to get a hit after several cast. Fish run towards snags, immediately retrieve, fish did not made any jump and surface later. Realized its a 1 kg Mangrove Jack.
rod used, Daiko Agresion 12-20, reel Shimano Cardiff 100A drag set at 2kg, line 14lb Power Pro and #8 Seaguar fluorocarbon shockleader with no swivel connecting the lures Maria XJ golden type. (medium size).
My opinion on this trip; Very silent electric motor approach, have its advantage in lures fishing.

This is my lucky day, a Wild MJ .... actually was targeting Wild Baramandi ... lost one maria XJ lure ..... hope still got stock.

I have juz been to MS and don seem to have MJ......But got lots of golden promfert and barramundi.......
I prefer MJ for the fight but still like golden promfert for food!!!!!

Ei ... have alot mah.. but dnt be surprise wor promfert very good to fight n i prefer prompert wor... No joke... Should be heading MS tonight too... targeting prompert n MJ both for fight only cause the fishes i usually give people... kekeke

Apollo hooks and prawns meat......
Somemore they seldom release big fish.....
