Oceania Land of the Giant T - New Caledonia

Hi all,

Just back from my recent week long media trip to New Caledonia, arranged by the guys from down under(Anthony/Dave many thanks for having me),was...Simply Awesome.

New Caledonia is a beautiful island with mountains and scenic view,blue lagoons and loads of reef for GT fishing, Jigging, bluewater etc..



Top Notch accommodations...


New Caledonia and monster GTs go hand in hand..as i found out 1st hand..and for those gunning for monster GTs...look no further..

Poindimie, located on the East Cost of Grand Terre in the North province. Not forgetting the West and North too..seems monster GTs are found in most locations...

Skillful boat handling by Skipper Etienne and all on deck is vital..many thanks guys..could not have done it without you guys...
Skipper know his stuff and also skilled in GT popping n jigging..
The rods i use belongs to the Etienne and really awesome rods with plenty of butt power and stood the test of our constant high stiking..really awesome..will be the proud owner of one of those awesome rods..

Guess it's good grounds to look for monster GTs, coral trout, jobfish..red bass etc..and a nice resort to rest those aching arms..
