Fished Horsburgh over the weekend with Kee Siong. 6 anglers. Overall an average catch by Kee Siong's standards but I got the jackpot with a grouper: hooked this one when it attacked a tiny Johson which had gone for an undernourished prawn on my apollo rig...1 hook 2 fish
Biggest Ang Chor and Grouper at around the 3kg mark. No monsters but a fair number of nice table sized quality eating fish like varous fingermarks (kee he), groupers, parrots and a couple of nice blood red Ang Kuehs. Other catches included 2 batfish, kacis, many tee boons, a ray and some ribbon fsih. Weather was a little windy on saturday and there was some rain in the wee hours of Sunday morning. Wish we had bigger kelong sotong though...the ones we obtained were less than an inch in length....also wish some anglers were more prudent in the usage of live sotong...oh well at least i've got some nice fish in my freezer now
And like everyone who has fished onboard Kee Siong's boat, i'm already dead keen for a second round of awesome fish porridge...great flower crab dinner dish too

PS. Pics below are not the total catch, the biggest parrot and a very good Ang Chor landed by one of the guys at the front of the boat not in the picture. His catches are not included here.

Keep u posted...maybe can ask Narc to come...his size J16 sinkers still virgin...haven't touch seawater yet...

Yes Rob, for a 1 night trip it was a quite good catch considering how HB has declined over the years. My first trip with Kee Siong and he is super hardworking. No deckie, does the anchoring and all the cooking himself. Interestingly, he shifts very often as well, quite different approach from some of the other SCS captains i've fished with...more like what Ah Bee does
Wonder how Nelayana and Rico II did, saw those boats at HB but looked like Rico II was heading to EB, Nelayana was around HB till dawn...

It all depends on where, when & which charter you fish with dude. And what your expectations are. Fishes are everywhere, including our overfished local waters

Yes this boat is still around but owner change to Ricky operating at Pandan Loop and Kee Siong is now using a fiberglass boat operating in Changi water.
