Brunei Cr 12/01/08 - 13/01/08

Last week, the weather looks very good and welcoming as the sea was almost flat as a mirror. Got a last minute invitation to head out and the catches was all good. Estimated total of catch could have been 2 commercial coolbox or more.

At the reefs, the snappers,groupers and krisi's was biting away but from midnite to early dawn, i was keeping awake hoping to strike a few GT's, only manage to land one as it strike at the last moment when my hand was on the shock leader trying to check the bait on my ranggong rig.

Total of 6 of us were so occupied with the biting frenzy during the trip that i totally filled up my coolbox by mid-noon sunday. Thats when i decide to drop my line in the water and leave the rod on the boat's rod holder so that i can have some shuteye.

Weather doesnt look good this weekend so mite not head out plus chinese new year is on its way.. well, sorry for the short CR as its not well detailed due to busy attending to the biting frenzy and also my shuteye was an on n off one. Enjoy the pics and keep the line tight!

Good catch dude! Maybe I can get a seat on your boat during my visit to brunei in March. Boleh ke?

Yonkey,
the boat is not mine as i have to pay a charter fee for it. But the overall catches have covered the cost as the boatman is a good one with lots of good fishing spots and not lazy to change spots on request if there aint no bites.

I do have my own boat but its under heavy renovation at the moment. So it might take a while. you can pm me if u need any enquiries.
