Reach Bangkok at 9.00am, after check-in, immediately drive over to the BSR. Reach BSR around 12.00pm, register, pay $$ and set-up. Start to fish at 1pm and total landed 6 mekong and 2 patin, ending the session at 5pm. Heard the Mekong cats over there grows up to 70+ kgs or more but I only managed to land merely 20kgs+. Anyway that is already my best record for Mekong as I am a 1st timer there.
As for the Kim, I was brought to another pond which I believe it was a different operator from what you guys had gone before. We have only 4 ponds to lure around. We reached the place at around 8.30am and from start to noon, I was the only one hook up a kim (only 3.5kgs) with rubber lure. None of the us have a bite on it... It seems to me that nowadays the Kims have all obtains PHD, it's just refuse to take lures or rubber. But after lunch, once you put on live bait, it just hook up immediately and those kims weighted much heavy than my eariler catch (min 7kgs max approx 12kgs) ... It was just none stop fight (one shot one kill) till we finish the bait pool. End up we enjoy our catch with all the live/dead bait just like bottom fishing instead of luring.
