And some other new offerings from Daiwa.
The new Certate has a very interesting rotor design.

Great let's hope we see people
dumping certates on fk soon!! Hahaha
Happened to drop by AO on Thursday & it was perfect timing ... the courier just dropped off the shipment of the 2010 Certate -- the entire series from the 1003 to the 3000.
NICE!!!!!![]()
Grabbed the last 3000 from AO this evening and must say it's pretty nice. The familiar vibrationless drive train with minimal shaft play plus that funky new rotor. Glad I managed to resist the Branzino 3000 all this time. Looks like the new Certate is set to be a winner.
Think I will wait for the hyper custom version, in 4000 size. It should serve well as a backup for my sw6k. Lost faith in the stock certate after having two with corrosion problem. I even find weakness in the current hyper custom. The spool is quite soft compare to the sw. Just don't drop or knock it.
How
Yo How! nice of you to drop in. The older Certates were prone to water intrusion which screws up the mid-body mounted anti reverse. The new Certate has address this issue with their latest innovation. The Mag Seal. Anyway, I've toyed with the so called souped up hyper versions and the gears doesn't really feel all that much smoother. Pretty typical of Daiwa actuallyComparing my Twinpower 4000SR with the new Certate, I still think the Twinpower is smoother but if the new Certate is really what Daiwa touts it to be, I think I can live with a little of "coffee-grinding" effect

Coffee grinding is fine with me. I have a 870 norrow high speed that will grind even the biggest and hardest of coffee beans. It performs beautifully though.
How
how good is it?
