how to get sea charts free of charge?
open the following German website: König & Cie - emissionshaus.com

klick on fleet tracking
open: bitte wählen Sie (please choice)
choice one of the mentioned tanker names
klick on "Tanker anzeigen) = show tanker
a world map opens
encircle with left or right mouse click the region you want to see; you can scale down to high resolution
how to save the maps?: klick on print key, open a word document and klick on import. Can be done also with graphic programms like paint, corel etc. I use XNVIEW XnView (simply it is freeware and requires no registration)

Thanks for the link. Quite a surprise to see such good quality sea charts available foc on the net.

The GPS co-ordinates for some of the SCS wrecks indicated on the charts are pretty accurate too

While finding out more about the company which produce the map, found some interesting info

C map(nobeltec) acquired by Jeppesen in year 2000
In the same year, Jeppesen itself being acquired by Boeing & became a subsidiary of Boeing Commercial Aviation Services

I didn't manage to save/import the sea chart images & will apppreciate more info. I was trying to capture the area showing the relative position/distance between HB, Aur, Pengibu & Anambas which I think many anglers are keen to know

hi, i followed the instructions but the chart does not load - just showing a blank blue page with a little cross in the upper right hand corner. may be they have disabled it? yzlian

Hi, I followed also the instructions. I get the world map and can zoom in on a region of interest. However, the level of details shown in the map is low. I can not view any sea charts like your examples. When I rightclick, I get a list of many choises, but they are not executed. E.g. to choose map style - sea chart/land map - nothing is changing. Also for most other choises from the list.

Any idea what is wrong? Same result with Firefox and IE.

Thanks for the information and instructions. However, I'm unable to get sea charts. Only view is map without the sea charts!!
Maybe I'm doing something wrong.
