About LinkBacksHi, I'm a beginner and just bought a Team Daiwa S Surf Classic 10ft and paired it with a Daiwa Freams Kix 3500 reel. Is this a good combination? So far, I can only manage a casting distance of around 30metres. How can i improve on it?

Hi, I'm a beginner and just bought a Team Daiwa S Surf Classic 10ft and paired it with a Daiwa Freams Kix 3500 reel. Is this a good combination? So far, I can only manage a casting distance of around 30metres. How can i improve on it?
gosh, something must be terribly wrong here. You can whip a sinker AT LEAST 100m out with that Team Daiwa rod (its that white 2pc with split lower eva grips right?) Are you using nylon lines? If so whats the breaking strain? I might be fishing at changi beach, near Cafhi jetty, this Saturday so you can join me with your new surf outfit if you're free. We'll figure out what went wrong with your set up and hopefully catch a fish or two!~
U can count on Stickbom to teach a trick or two on casting as his mighty cast can going very very very very far.
He can cast 100m any time... No Sweat....
