Hi Robsen ,

I fished 2 days in Rompin Sat. n Sun. , still in KL curently to check out the fishing tackles shops and being tourist .

Sailfish were prolific but according to the captain , one must hurry because the monsoon is coming soon . Between the 2of us , we caught 7 sailfish in 2 days , all by popping and all are CnR .

It was a learning experience to hook up those sailfish , lost 3 lures on the first day but managed to CnR 1 sailfish on the second day . My fishing buddy took the glory of CnR 6 sailfish in 2 days without losing any lure . A case of the right tackles for the right purpose , I brought too light a line , leader and rod for the purpose .

Hi Pak Jon,

You are correct, monsoon is round the corner. Agree with you..good learning experience for me too, hooking up sails on popping and am learning from every trip. It is always a challenge to hook them up on poppers/stikbaits..world of difference from GT popping.

Good popping trip for you guys...well done. Guess next time round, you will know what tackle to bring.
