Was told that Romping is crawling with Sailfish these two weeks... contacted Rob to arrange for a trip and off we went with 5 other angler who are not interested in F1 .... Danny, Adrian, Desmond, Jack, Sed and me... along with our beloved guide Robson

After spending a nite at the bungalow... we head off for the fishing ground with Ah Boon the boatman ...

First 15 minutes, Danny hooked up a nice size sail... everyone say die... because we will get 'swan' by Danny for at least a day if we dont catch anything for the rest of the day... worst get 'swan' for a year if anyone of us fails to catch a sail by the end of the trip. The rest of the angler starts perspiring as we watch the sail tortured by his over size Accurate and CTS rod... I could not care less and carry on casting a ANg kor Li at the front of the boat ... missed 2 takes, cant resist the urge to strike the fish... later was told by Rob not to strike it.. damn it... one of it exploded in my face about 5 metres out and throw the hook back at me....

Sed missed a hook up on a popper... there after 3 good size sail were landed ... missed at least 6-7 due to line break and failure to hook up.

Second day... catch was ok... landed 3 more and missed about another 5-6 fail hooked up and lne burst.

Overall trip was good, thanks to Rob for the organization and also the sail fish for their cooperation.

Action was spectacular... it is amazing that we still have this type of fishing ground in SEA... thumbs up for the Malaysian gov and people for their great conservation efforts! Enjoy the photos...
