Mark (Mark), Jason(Jason), Frank (Prodrive), Edy, Ron (Pemburu Ikan) etc etc..? This Catch Report of just 1 1/2 days enough to get you drooling yet? The 2 largest Doggies were caught on popper.. ask Sam of Team 7 (Gina's new Yishun tackle shop). He will tell you how long he needed to recuperate from the fight after he landed the fishes. hahaha! Water did not look good after the 1st day of torrential downpour. There was some silt suspended in the water, caused by surface runoffs from the surrounding mountains. I've previously experienced some days on such water & had very poor results on spots with just moderate potential. However, as you can see from the pictures, we still managed to get strikes & land some at the spots we went. I experienced a "non-negotiatiable" take on my popper on the 1st fishable day, ensuing with a line break. 2nd fishable day, I had a sizeable bluefin trev take my popper. It was one of the largest bluefins i've ever seen. at least 10kgs (conservatively). Darn fish was smart. took my popper & swam towards the boat. I could not tighten the line fast enough to set the hook... so, it was farewell to that clever beauty. cheers! Lance 98500 209 |
