    Tackle Test in Bali, Nov 09

    Team Kaiser was in Bali over the Hari Raya Holidays to test out some new lures and our jig and casting rods.

    Fishing was somewhat slow but we managed a couple of nice GTs to 20kg+ all on KOMO jigs and the Synit Venoms paired with the Alutecnos Gorilla 12C, modified Accurates and the Jigger 4000P. Also landed on the Venoms were some decent Ruby Snappers with Power Jig Lumo jigs...

    Popping was slow perhaps due to the unusually flat seas...hardly any winds either!....Solitary GT landed on a Full-Scale Kong and Zenaq casting rod.

    The guys were very happy with the Venoms...we jigged jigs from a light Hooker 250g to a whopping 860g Skill-L and 750g Jazz all with the new 550FT blank!!...effortless jigging over a very wide range of jig weights with amazing butt power... The V550FT has enough cushion to work an 800g Jig

    Here are the pics of the catch...nice video of jigging action to follow shortly...

    Overall, the seas were unusually flat for Balinese conditions....hardly any surface chop...this is my 6th trip there and the sea state was eerily flat...at times I thought I was fishing in Rompin!!!

    Thanks Rob...I take my hat off to Jason and Wee...these guys have impeccable technique even with ultra heavy jigs...hard to find jiggers better than these two!

    Hi Mark ,

    Looking at them jigging , I am already out of breath , I think I stick to popping n if I must jig then will use my PE3~4 outfit with 150 gr. jig weight in less than 100m deep . The rods used is somewhat a cross between Hot's n Carpenter , in my opinion .
