    Brunei - Amberjack Jigging Video

    Greeting,

I would like to thank Saimee (Dafrogman) for sending this DVD to me. I have made couple of clips based on the DVD ...

At the moment only this one is ready and the rest will be "Akan Datang" (coming soon)

PS. This is my 1st time playing with video editing so please pardon me for the lousy video.

The quality is set to "medium" in order to keep a small file size.

    Cheers,
    Edy

    Edy,

Thanks very very much for doing the editing... Excellent job .

The commentary is mine and I must warn viewers that some of the clips may contain language unsuitable for young ears... .

Actually those first fish were I think the smaller of the bunch amongst the AJs.... the boys went on to get more the next day but I will leave that to the clips.

So Edy, muchos gracias for finding the time between feeding/changing baby and trying to get some sleep.

For the benefit of viewers, there was over an hour of footage on the DVD so there is much more to come.....

    Regards,

    Saimee

Edy, nice job leh... 1st time also can have such effect. I like it. The background music wont overlap the conversation. Great

    Jason,
The background music is by Dj Tiesto - track listing as following
Conil - Malibu Beach and Mark Norman presents Celine - Colour My Eyes

    Dafrogman,
The clip is awesome With your excellence commentary "pangsai fish"
I will find sometime this weekend to render 1 or 2 more clips.

    stickbom!,
You are welcome and I had lotsa fun to edit the clip too.

    octopus,
It takes me sometime to get the balance between the background music and the conversation. I am looking to into adding more "cool" stuffs into the future clip.

    Cheers,
    Edy

And also to the guy with the spin gear......why such a long rod to jig with??

Think the black overhead is an Accurate 665 Extra Narrow. The guy with that long rod probably no money to buy another jigging rod so he's using his popping stick to double up for jigging

    Ahem,

Honsu dude, the guy with the long rod once had too much tackle and decided that he wanted to put new meaning to the term "longstroke" jigging.... ...

    Regards,

    Saimee

P.S...... listen real close and you will hear the guys name....

actually the guy with the long rod only had a beach casting outfit brought at the local discount store before boarding. Just goes to show you don't need expensive tackle to catch AJ's. Nice going Maso-Kist!

Hey DFM, the commentary was a hoot! Very entertaining and I'm sure encouraging to the hard working anglers.

Now that you've mentioned it Chris, yeah, I do see some surf guides on that long rod! Taiwanese guide makers must be making copies of the Fuji Low Riders already If it wasn't for the music Edy added and DFM's wonderful commentary, that video would really put everyone to sleep in double quick time.

The commentary was definitely ad-spontaneum...... and yeah it was a hoot and a reflection of the relief I felt on putting my boys on fish after having them sit out the damned typhoon for 4 days..... Hey I'm willing to volunteer video and commentary duties anytime.... hehehehehehe

Anyway, jigging is a great spectator sport and we really shouldn't get too serious, but on an additional note, toe rails may be a good idea at some point.....

The next installments of the video are similarly commented and tongue in cheek, Note to Self; Next Time bring Spare Tapes and Batteries....

As for the Surf Rod, yeeeessssssss there were surf guides on the Maso-Kiss Special....

Glad you enjoyed it Chris.... KK, there is a reference to you in one of the clips to come .

    Yo Saimee,

23th-25th DST + Kingfisher team onboard Apollo dropoff trip, heard the biggest AJ 30kg and a lot of decent sized grouper.

    Cheng,

Am not surprised, I reckon there are 50kg fish wandering around and of course, the fish were in Hari Raya mode after the fasting month so they would be sure to whack anything....

Nice work to DST+Kingfisher, like I said before, the conditions were good just as Hari Raya approached.

Just finished the video, don't think the AJ looks 30kg, Ah meng said they didn't scale it but got a lot of experience with 20kg above AJ, they estimated within 24-27kg. The pics already posted at bruclass.

the fish were in Hari Raya mode after the fasting month so they would be sure to whack anything

Hahaha....they said bcos u guys not going offshore that's why the fish grow bigger. Btw, this trip they release most AJ.
