Tinggi's catch report
A last minute mobilization by the boatman resulted in these fine catches even though we never manged to land the sharks this time round.

Bottom fishing and homemade apollo rigs landed us parrot fish, coral trout, cobia & many other species.

Once again, a big thank you to the organizer (you know who you are) for making this trip another success.

Feel free to PM me if anyone wishes to sample Pulau Tinggi's fishing or even to battle the sharks

Guys,

Sharks are still around. Never get to land this time....1st one leader gave way, 2nd bugger, mainline snap....was using Uncle's outfit. Maybe he thought we are still fishing for amberjacks back in Taiwan .
Lesson learnt....use own tackle.

That looks like a nice Cobia too dude, glad that somebody is catching something, I been landbound over a month now and am going nuts...

Nice catch dude.... looking at the boat all I can say is "Now THATS my kind of fishing". I'm suprised the weather held out but also take not of the poncho you are wearing dros....

But Mikey said the pose looks like the old marlboro man...too outdated.

I'm sure your fishing boat is far more comfortable than ours, but we got no complain since fishing was productive even though we have to endure the bright sun and occasionally rain. I will take note and invest in a goretax.

You too will be able to start your quest for Mr.MJ in another couple of weeks i presume. Till then take care evil twin.

Jason and Mike, this fellas huh, thought i never browse this site huh...back talk about me huh, you damn knew was a 60lb leader yet set the drag to 15 kgs and using your bull strenght to test my outfit, sure to burst la. Anyway it tested my reel, my rod was benting beautifully and my FG knot's was well done isn't it.

You want me to post the video clip, "Ahmad in action fighting the cobia?".

I have already warned you before the trip. We are fishing for sharks above 50kgs not ikan duri. Anyway now you know that your 665N is tough right?
