| Moderator | Edy, Bugger the weather and unfortunate company..... 20kgs of grouper make it that more tolerable. BTW, were you the one who likes "Durian Fish"..... if so, I got some for you to go with your grouper. Saimee

Rep Power: 5 ![]() | The Catch Report: I’m not even going to begin to tell you about the eight pm (Friday evening) to next day six am (Saturday morning) travelling journey we embarked, just so we could get to the jetty that house the fishing boat for our this fishing adventure, because I have nothing to write on that and anyway it is much too boring. Also, I can’t talk about it without touching my sore arse and back. You would scoff at me, I’m pretty sure, if I told you that we travel all the way there to catch that few fishes, get caught in a storm, and I end up with a very bad flu. The weather was good when the captain launch his boat out to sea on Saturday morning, but turn horrible later that evening. But lucky for Edy and our envy, the wind picked up, making the sea a hostile place for even crazy hardcore anglers like us only after he landed his slightly less than four pound snapper and his mama forty-four pounds grouper. By midnight the wind was so strong that it created three to four meters waves, and brought heavy rain with the intention of confining us in the cabin. The boat was rocking so aggressively, that, even the captain’s assistant could not handle and got seasick. And I was stretching my muscles so that I could bend my head over to reach my ass, to kiss my ass goodbye, in case of emergency. But thank who are it is that I need to thank, the wind slowed down and the rain stopped when the sun comes up for the beautiful Sunday, and we picked up all fishing activities where we left off. My four and a half pound snapper didn’t arrive until after I made myself a tuna sandwich for breakfast, and my eleven pound grouper didn’t appear until two hours before dinner. And that was just about all the catches our group managed apart from that mega twenty-two pound queen fish that took our friend’s bait (mid-water) while he retrieves from bottom, the three or four tiny little gelama, the two marine catfish, and that one lonely little ang kueh. Sensing the wind is about to pick up again, we decide to cut our trip short and head back to shore instead of subjecting ourselves under the mercy of the weather one more time again. And of course, I certainly not going to end by telling you about the ten am to nine pm travelling journey back to Singapore, and me rushing to make it in time to reach the clinic before it closes for the day to seek medical attention for my terrible flu because I have nothing to write on that and anyway it is much too boring. Also, I can’t talk about it without touching my sore arse, back, and starring at the plastic bag load of medication, which I need to take if I have any intention of getting better. And on that note, I am going to sign off, to go down another tablespoon of that horrible tasting cough mixture and swallow some pills. P/S: And we await our comrade from the trip to either email us or upload more photos from our trip, here, for the viewing pleasure of all you good people. Rep Power: 0 ![]() | Really nasty Flu Bug going round in Malaysia and Singapore. Take care of yourself, bro. I had a dose of the same Flu Bug and it was not fun for me. I think the wild weather (hot as hell followed by intermittent downpours) has a lot to do with so many people falling sick. Lowers the body's resistance!!! |
