1st strike from sailfish pull out all line from shimano 8000...

This was my recent Rompin trip for sailfish hunt. We were using 2 boats from Janggut. 1 Big and 1 small boat total 12 anglers. As usual we stay 1 night at Rompin the next day morning we start onboard at 8am.

After collecting baits fishes like tamban, kembong & selar, we moved to sailfish location. Balloon drifting is the method we used. Sailfish first strike on the Shimano 8000 reel. On the half way reeling, I heard a sound "piiak". I turned back my head and asked, "Line snack"? He replied "Empth spoooool". About 7seconds, about 300yard of lines finished. After I inspect the reel, drag was not tightening enough...

After that we manage to hookup and landed 3 sailfish. 1st and 2nd are bigger, then 3rd 1 are smaller a bit. I caught my biggest sotong during these hours.

After lunch, we switch to another place, about 3pm, rain & storm came. The storm lucky last for an hour. Since than no more fishes bite even on bottom. About 5.15pm we all moved back.
