Rep Power: 4   | Rompin on 15-05-05 This trip with boatman Ah Liang, another famous guide at Rompin. First he bring us to one of the "secret" spot. We catch some small bait fish first like kembong & tamban. Then we use the bait fish for bottom and land 5 groupers, size around 600g each. After that, no current at all. Sinker no 3 can go down straight. (smallest size I have) Then we decide to change a spot 2, where the parrot fish around. Recently like drifting live bait(learned for tenggiri). I put down a live kembong with a balloon and let it go. A short while, my balloon moving, from the style it is not tenggiri or sailfish. 3 seconds later, I strike for the fish. Quite a good fighter over the other end. When we saw the fish, amazing is a "Tripletail". Surprise catch around 3kg. Retie a rig and put down with live tamban. While I still letting out the balloon, a small predator take a bite on the tamban, I slowly reel in and land a small saltwater "Kwan Tau". Then parrot start bitting... many strikes on parrot, but we cant make the nice hookup, even have nice hookup but tangle at the bottom. Finally land 2 only  catches summary: 2 parrot fish, 3kg & 2kg 6 grouper 600g - 1kg 1 tripletail 3kg 1 kwan tau 700g More pic on: http://fishingkaki.multiply.com/photos/album/7 |

Can, kopi time can be arranged on weekend provided you and me "free" from fishing trip  Can you make it on coming weekend? The secret spot that I mentioned is the boatman "secret" spot but not me... I know nothing for tht  Maybe I will try to get a gps from Sim Lim tower... Hear say the price there are cheap.Quote:
Rompin trip's price keep increasing and now is from rm700 onward. If the boat bigger than it is more expensive unless you are the "buddy" of them  . Im now exploring another 2 places where they share the same coast line as Rompin. Merchong & Nerasi. Both area are up north abit from Rompin. Boat & service almost same as Rompin BUT "THE PRICE ARE MUCH CHEAPER". Heard about rm500. Any1 interested  By the way, Ah Liang's hp: +6012-9012383 Quote:
