Rep Power: 4   | Recent Karang Ngah (Sedili) trip The boat arrived on time 4am at the LKIM jetty (Tg.Sedili). After we loaded our stuff onto the boat, we start our 2d1n-fishing trip for Mackerel hunt. It took 3 and half hours to reach unjam for baitfish with Apollo rig. Targeted kembong as the favorites for mackerel and most of the predator fishes… unfortunately bait fish not around. According to boatman, trawler boat wipe off most of the area recently. So we keep changing location to find more baitfishes. After gaining enough bullets, we heading to Karang Ngah. Reach there around 11am. We dropping our rig and wait for those Tenggiri. Main line 20lb, leader 20lb, steel wire 20lb also. Some using drifting method while those kaki’s in front mainly add a sinker on the rig. After a long wait, 1st tenggiri caught by leader Wan. After that no more “sound” at all. After that boatman decided shift to unjam area. From this unjam near to Aur island, we started a small party on boat. While waiting for tenggiri, we try our luck on bottom species also. Many coral species being caught by dead prawn, sotong & fish slice. Parrot, grouper, trigger fish, jemudok, aji2, jahan, merah, baby GT… Around sunset hour, tenggiri start biting. Within 2 hours plus, we land about 12 tenggiris. Many more got away… so sad. As night falling, we moved to wreck area after our dinner. We park our boat here till next morning. Very little fish bite during the nighttime. Only 1 shark and other 2 or 3 fish caught. That why most kakis having some sweet dream through the night. (including me) The next morning after breakfast we are heading to unjam again for those tenggiri. Yes, they still there. And our live bait fishes just not enough for them. No choice need to use dead bait fish also… party end on 12pm cause we are going back to jetty. 14 more tenggiri land for this morning. 1 of the kaki caught the Dorado and the dancing make us entertained. Summary catches: Tenggiri - 26 grouper - 9 Aji-aji -3 parrot - 2 Jemuduk 2 or 3 GT - 1 Red snapper - 1 Jahan - 1 Dorado - 1 Barracuda - 1 Shark - 1 and others… More pic on http://fishingkaki.multiply.com/photos/album/9 |

Rep Power: 4 | Hi Octopus, I think that is a record in term of no of Tenggiri at Karang Ngah so far. Well, if you are following Che Wan with Tekong Idris, I wont be suprise of the catch. Intended to join him sometimes back but, transportation problem, so have to cancel  .Keep the Catch Report coming. Cheers. |

Rep Power: 4 | Dorado, Ya, so far this is the record trip for us at Karang Ngah among the MFN forumers  . Transport shouldn't be much problem as kakis over here can fetch you around JB custom. Hope that you can join one of the trip in future. |

Rep Power: 4 | Halo Octopus, thats real excitement for a 2d1n trip. Last time fish in KNgah was way back in 2000, a nice place but if kena storm middle of the night no where to hide man...  Yup you're rite..if the mackies are in feeding mood, you have to constantly put your baits down..live or dead, they'll whack the same. Our team experienced that last year but in Pemanggil & close to sunset too..had to stop cos already 2nd day....managed 18 though for just that 1 1/2 hr or so. Will need some wierd luck to break your record for that unjam  Great catch there..  Rgds Bro RK

Rep Power: 4 | AmbeRjacKHunter, You are right, Karang Ngah & the unjam area got no place to hide during storm hour so the boatman always parking the boat at wreck area at night time. Ya, we need to keep feeding the mackies if they are in eating mood so that they will keep swimming around our boat area. Edy & Jason, Sure why not. Boat cost for 2d1n is RM1,200. But the boat condition so so only. About 45feet long. The cabin for sleeping quite small but have a toilet. All cooking done by the assistant boatman. Let see what I can do... When you want to go  |

Hi Tan, does the boat include the bait as well..with that amount? Bait like sotong, etc... or you have to jig for live bait urself? Previous arrangement no bait, no toilet, hussle to get transport. Thus, we cancel the trip to sedili... Singapore transport charge very expensive to sedili.. Jason, after spratlys... go sedili... onz!! Me and my cousin keen to go... i think Chan also ok.
