My Mood: Rep Power: 6 ![]() ![]() | Pengerang 12/4-13/4 Thanks to Adrian for fixing this trip up... Although current this weekend not optimal...raging currents for most of the day and night...we did quite well during the precious 2hr slack period...better than most of the other boats for sure... Total nearly 20 Ang Cho, not very big but all table size and deep gold in color... and approx 30pc of Macks... All 4 fishos came back with super full ice boxes |

Apparently, current flow for that area is better on chinese calender "1" and "15" for this few months. Saw the ice box of another group in the pier. They have 5 iceboxes filled with fishes. My frd took the photo of that 8 or 9ft shark. Mark - you recommend the date and we go again..... cheers |

The 6kg(?) ray doesnt deserve a mention ah? Poor ray.... My back's still kinda aching from the acrobatic acts of strength and weight lifting. 3sa kinda got a nagging from her mom for bringing back too much fish. Which in turns means that I got a bit of an earful as well. Lol. |

My Mood: Rep Power: 6 ![]() ![]() | Re: Pengerang 12/4-13/4 Hi JBS, Yes, MarkR is the guy with the glasses & he wasn't wearing an FNR T We r usually not keen on fishing at places like Tanjung Pinang, Malang Biru, Pengibu...Mack the "old bird" bottom basher will tell you that the waters around HB, EB, Lima, Karang Emas hold the best makan quality fish like Ang Cho, Merah, Grouper, Parrots etc...Yes, still got "red carpets" at Mapor but a lot of the CRs from places like TP, Malang Biru & Pengibu are filled with "slivery & white" fish- Jemudoks, Bulats, Batfish, Kaci, Rays etc...not so good for makan...hee hee Last edited by MarkR : 15-04-2008 at 10:42 AM. |
