| Moderator | Catch Report on Sedili (Karang Ngah) 15/Oct/05 Guys, I followed the MFN group for year-end closing trip to Karang Ngah on above date. This time we having 1d1n trip due to fasting month for Muslim. Boat arrived at jetty about 3.15pm. 1st spot is unjam Tokong Yu. We catch many Apollo fishes such as selar, kembong, tamban for live bait and for our dinner as well. We fish around Tokong Yu on 2 spot only cause the current so strong at the nighttime. We manage to catch small shark, small GT, pasir & tambak. I caught 1 GT with jigging hehe. Many strike but broke off cause didn’t use the wire and suspected big barracuda. After breakfast, we go to Karang Ngah. Once the sunrise, Apollo fishes such as selar, tamban, kembong, selayang strike a lot. Almost full house for Apollo rigs. The size of selar quite big and fight like big fish. After tekong parking on a karang spot nearby, we start our tenggiri hunting. Few strikes but only land 1. Most of them got away where the rig not good and the drag tension setting too tide. A big coral trout caught by bottom rig about 2kg. A short while, 1 baby blue marlin took the live bait on mackies setup. About 10min later, land, photograph & release back. Around 12.30pm we moved to unjam darat for Apollo fishes as tenggiri hunting not so successful. Here we enjoy our Apollo fishing and surprisingly there is a group of “tuna” fish- Tonggol haha local tuna. They are very good fighter, I land 1 of them in 10min time on my 20lb setup. Around 3pm we start our journey back.
