| Administrator | Team S.E.P.A.K. Mapur April 30th-1st May Posting this Catch Report on behalf of Amberjackhunter --- START --- Salam & Good day everyone, Here's a brief report of Team SEPAK trip: Anglers: 1. Bro RK 2. Shah Boleh 3. Osman-G 4. Hj Pardi 5. Zul BMB 6. Shah SB 7. Razali 8. Hj Ibrahim GG Tekong - Ah Kia Crews - Salijo (chef), Joni, Razali & mechanic...forgot his name, very hardworking crews this bunch Weather - very very nice, water like swimming pool but suprisingly under current very strong..size 18 -20 also layang Total catches & estimated wt : Red Snappers - 7 pcs ( 1 - 6 kg by bro RK, Osman, Shah SB & crew) Golden Snapper - 1 pc only ard 2.5 kg ( by crew ) Tengirri - 1 only ard 7 kg ( caught free hand - it jumped into the boat while chasing a school of baitfish ) Cobia - 3 pcs ( 2 - 3.5 kg by crew ) Kaci - 3 pcs ( 1 - 3 kg by Osman & crew ) Jebong (Ayam fish) - 1 ard 1 kg by Pardi Bulat - 1 only ard 2.5 kg by Osman ...reason is Ah Kia's bulat spot was taken up by Tekong Aziz Batfish - 5 pcs from 2 - 3 kg range by Zul, Shah & crews Golden Stingray - 4 pcs from 1 - 15 kg estimated by Bro RK, Sha B, Shah SB & crew Abang Cudda - 3 pcs ard 2 - 3 kg by crews Spotted grouper - 5 pcs ard 1 - 3 kg all by Salijo the chef Asso ( mempinang) - 1 kg by Bro RK Yu Yg Berhormat - 2 pcs ard 1.5 kg by crews A few more biggies ( suspect rays, tengirri, cobias & red snappers ) were lost while bringing up...broke at the leader. Overall I would say a satisfactory trip considering the strong currents. Most of the big ones were caught just after daybreak when current slowed down. This trip will be very well remembered for the Tengirri which surrendered itself at the mid section where the squid lamp was located....lucky thing none of us were in its way other wise could be fatal if it sank its teeth on one of our necks !...but I wouldn't mind if a few more of those Mackies joined in the boat. There were more variaties of species this time instead of just Bulats. So next time you all go fishing beware...stay alert when you hear splashing in the middle of dark night. Enjoy the pics...courtesy of Latiff Shah SB . The team's next trip to Tg Pinang will be from 4th - 6th June..... stay tune. Rgds Bro RK |
