Catch Report 24-27 Apr 08 (Small Island in Indon)

Went for a prebook fishing trip in from the abovementioned date. A total of 9 anglers went onboard.



We boarded ferry from TMFT at 930am and off we to for the anticipated trip.

With a long ride to the 1st fishing spot, most of the anglers went to sleep. After 9 hours of travelling, we finally reached the 1st fishing spot. Sea state was choppy during the journey. Catch n bite rate was consider avg with some Ang Kueys of landed. On the 2nd day morning, sea state condition was good. Fishing started. We started drifting n was rewarded with Groupers, Ang Ko Lis, Ang Kuey. We couldnt believed our eyes as out of 9 anglers, 5 were fighting dearly with the fishes. With depth of 60m, it took quite sometime for the fishes to surface. Shall post the pics.

Did not do a good palcement of the total catches as there were too much catch n not enough place on board the boat.

We had to head back to shore on the 3rd day as we had run out of bait (25kg squid + 2 kg tambans) and ice. The industrial iceboxes, was filled with fishes, with one box filled with Big marine catfishes ranges from 2 to 10kg.

Ang Kuey 2 - 7.5kg - 31 Nos.
Japanese Red - 1 - 3 kg - 23 Nos.
Grouper 2 - 4kg - 14 Nos.
Ang Ko Li 2 - 5kg - 12 Nos.
Cobia 6 kg - 1 No. (Kill and cook on spot)
Kaci 1 - 4 kg - 15 Nos.
Other varieties or fishes up to 1.5kg - countless
