Wet Sunday!

The day started off pretty wet, with a steady drizzle that lasted till late morning. Highlight of the trip would be the stud parrot that took a live prawn that was pinned to my boatman's hooks. That was the only fish of the trip that called for a landing net My buddy Layman was trying out his brand new Salty Rubber today after hearing all my ali-ba-ba stories about it Most of the fishes we caught on the Salty Rubber were insignificant but the occasional bite kept us awake. Another side show worth mentioning was when Layman hooked up to something solid at the last spot before our trip ended. His Salty Rubber barely hit the ground before something pounced on it. Layman's 20lb class BC rod was loaded up nicely after the hook up but everything went slack in less than 5 seconds!! Layman immediately dropped the lure back down and the fish was actually gutsy enough to strike a second time!! Sad to say the fish missed Layman's hooks and got away. When layman checked his Salty Rubber... he found the stock hooks straightened! Sorry buddy... I should have changed the hooks for you

Touch wood but the Salty Rubber has yet to fail me so far and I think Layman was pretty impressed with it You guys should give it a try too!

So far the pink head/white with red dot skirt, copper head/white with red dot skirt, black head/black skirt all seems to work fine. Yeah Cheng's boat back in action
