| Super Moderator | Local boat trip with Boatman Ah Cheng 23/9/06 This was supposed to be my Queenfish jigging expedition but I ended up catching a grouper, a snapper and two pieces of "tee boon" (spanish flag snapper- learned this from Melvin Ng's homepage!) on my jig The gang on board consisted of- -Eugene (Trip planner) -Devis -Mano -Alvin -Jack (AKA Blur Sotong- Yaya Papaya owner of 2 Boga Grips )-Myself Overall catch wasn't that fantastic but our boat man tried his best to shift around and put us into fish. Other species landed- Johnsons, Parrot, Kachi Alvin landed a pretty decent grouper just before another one pounced on my jig. Jack also managed to land a "tee boon" on jig after being inspired by my lucky encounters. My Tackle- Team Daiwa X Interline Bass rod Ocea Jigger 1000 Fireline 14lb Seaguar Grand Max No.10 Owner Cultiva jig 68g (I tried other jigs but nothing else worked. Jack landed his fish with a Team Daiwa jig) Last edited by stickbom! : 09-10-2006 at 07:06 PM. |

Edy, tell Mikey, next time no need to paint the face black black lah, bring along the Mikey Mouse mask and put it on for photo shot, that would look better.

| Super Moderator | hahaha... guys, luck played a big part in my surprise catches lar. You need to be stubborn and optimistic when trying to defy conventional methods of fishing here. The first person who will think you're nuts would be the boatman |
