Rep Power: 5 ![]() | Grouper Day Only managed 3 fishes yesterday. Largest about 4kg+. All three fishes caught in the span of 30 minutes; eat sun & wind the rest of the day. Oh ..... almost forgot, a 4kg or so Queenie provided some last minute excitement to end the day. On the way up, the fish was a attacked by something as it had a nasty gash on its belly. Really wonder what it could be ...... must be some big mama to have a go at a 4kg fish!!! Lost another good fish shortly. It was taking line managed to pull the hook to win it's freedom. Probably another big Queenie. |

Rep Power: 5 ![]() | Haiz.............. very jialat ..... tio suan again ..... As for bleeding of the fish, I think it contributes towards keeping the fish fresh for longer periods if the fluids are drained resulting in "better" tasting fish. One way to prevent a bloody mess is to have a tall pail of sea water ready, slit the throat latch, then put the fish head first into the pail of water. This will contain the blood in the pail & not allow the blood to be splashed all over the deck. Edy, better NOT think of ANYTHING ELSE except your wifey & soon to be delivered Edy Jr dude |
