Bluewater Fishing Expedition

Hopped into Ah Cheng's boat this morning with some office colleagues and had a pretty decent day out at sea. Most of my colleagues were newbies and have never fished from a boat before. To be frank I was kinda worried about them at first but these guys turned out to be real champs! My colleagues had no fancy gear and were using nylon lines BUT they still managed to land groupers, "SG Rainbow runners"

and even a good sized sweetlip! I manged two Johnsons & two groupers on SR myself. Not too bad for a local outing!

That is a VERY good catch! I would be ecstatic if I got these many garoupas. Some day we gota go do some local fishing together.

Hi Din, recently a little busy... too many fishing trip

once I settle down will go cat hunting again!

Edros wants to bring me to "frog island"... for sting ray hunting. Can't wait to try!

hdmcgatha, yes it was a pretty enjoyable trip for everyone that day... well maybe except for a friend who lost 3 salty rubbers to snags

*ouch*... hurts just thinking abou it! By the way, have you ever caught mackerels with those Rapala X-Raps? I bought a pair of them for my trip to Sarawak this weekend. Hope they catch me a couple of whoppers!

The same crew will be fishing on the same boat this coming Sunday

This time round most of them will be fishing Ugly Stiks (some even upgraded to braided line

) Good luck to the groupers of Jurong Island
