Rep Power: 5 ![]() | The Crimson Tide The Crimson Tide finally dawned on us. It was a spectacular night of fishing. Even though it was a day before the full moon, the tides were too good not to make a trip. There was 3 turns of tides. Too good to miss. Total catch was 18 ungahs, the majority of them 2kg & over, 6 table-size groupers & 1 kaci. Over the course of the night, we released 3 cudas in the 5kg+ range and endured countless cut-offs by those toothy critters. We released 10 rays, 7 of then we figured were over 10kg, the largest probably about 20kg or so. As expected, squids were virtually non existent. The 2 arrows & one chomek we caught produced 4 ungahs; all over 2kg each – 3 from arrow squid strips & 1 from the chomek. We were pretty sure that if we had live squids at the magic pre-dawn hour, it would have been a one-squid-one-fish kind of situation. It will be a night for all of us on the trip to remember and talk about for a long, long time. |

Rep Power: 5 ![]() | Thanks Saimee, but you cannot possibly be as "pleasantly Disgusted" as I am of your recent catches Hi Daiwa_Siao, you are right on both counts |

| Moderator | Mak, After a day of Raya, I am still pleasantly ed....We are looking for a window next week, but it'll be tight as I am due to go to the UK for a few days next Saturday and the missus says I have thing to do.... So far the seas are still suffering a hangover from the latest typhoon gangbang.... last report was a fast 2-3m swell still present. I am hoping to get a few more MJs this year, I think I have over cooked my Amberjack quota for the year. Capt Fred will be running two or three more trips to the dropoff and it looks like the dropoff is getting too crowded for my liking with at least a half dozen crews regularly hammering the spots there... time to find new pastures me thinks. Keep it up dude, it looks like the season was saving the best for the last down your ways. Tight lines and mega Lutjanidae my friend. Saimee
