Rep Power: 4  | Catch Report on 231206 It was a rather slow and lazy day to start with as the monsoon is really bringing rains all over and also bringing the indoors lazy mood due to the cold weather outside .But after much thinking I decided to make it a go rather then staying in since theres a opportunity .So drag myself up prepare all the gears and set out immediately .Upon reaching the water is so murky ,and no one seems to be fishing maybe that day .And it was a rather slow day hitting one grouper during high tide but drop it when it was on the way up ..got heavy pull after that but miss the fellow .After that it was very quiet all the way till the tide was already pretty low when I finally got a hit .It lasted for awhile and was brought up with the hook just at the tip of the lips ,its quite lucky I didn't drop it .And it turn out to be a MJ ,slightly bigger then the ones I got on the previous trip . |

Rep Power: 4 | Re: Catch Report on 231206 Hi Edylie , I didn't got the chance to eat the previous two MJs as my mom have the thought of these fishes fishes have mud smell ,but after much persistance I finally got the chance to make her cook this MJ .Yes ,they are good eating fish and the meat have a really soft texture . The MJs are big at Elly kelong ,did they kept the fishes there or did the MJs happens to take shelter at the kelong ? |

My Mood: Rep Power: 10 | Re: Catch Report on 231206 Hi Ophio, Those mangrove jacks at Elly Kellong is bought from fisherman and kept in the pond for us to fish  The best bait so far we tried on the mangrove jack is kembong fish fillet. They fight well too!!! Cheers, Edy

The room comes with attached bathroom and the otah outside the Elly Kelong is nice and inexpensive. If you feel like bottom fishing, can always charter one of the boat and go to Merapas area for it.
