Rep Power: 5 ![]() | 20th to 21st March 2004 - Horsburg Horsburg lighthouse vicinity welcomes the 3 Amigos along with 7 other anglers on 13th March 2004. We reached our first fishing spot slightly before lunchtime, where Edy produce the first fish for the entire boat – a tee boon. We had a “sumptuous” salted vegetables feast with porridge for lunch, before we head off to the next spot. Luckily they didn’t feed us with anymore salted stuff for dinner, if not the 3 Amigos would had jump overboard and start swimming back to Singapore. We begin to see some action after the sun set, sending 2 out of the 3 Amigos into the hall of fame for the boat for this trip – Edy [Caught the most fish] and Adrian [Caught the largest fish]. And one little grouper saved Chris for being re-elected as the president of the Kosong club for the 4823th time. During the night, edy begin his productive catch by bring in a 3kg+ nurse shark, followed by a 2.5kg “Ang Chor”, barracuda was next, followed by a good size “Ang Chor Kee” and a giant Bat fish. While our Adrian, caught 2 stingray [first 6.5kg stingray was landed effortlessly, while the 20kg stingray gave Adrian’s tackle a good workout] and 1 “Kee Fish”. The only thing worth mentioning apart from Adrian’s 20kg stingray was the squid. There was so much squid that they arrive beside the boat in a party between 5 to 15 each time. We caught more then enough squid for baits as well as for supper. Luckily we caught more then enough squid, if not we strongly believe that there wont be any supper for us for the night. After breakfast, we shifted to our final spot, before we started our long journey back to Singapore. By noon time we are back in shore, we are so glad that we could make it back to shore by lunch time, as one more meal of salted vegetable galore would had sent the 3 of us crazy. Please Note: All fish weight quoted above are based on our own estimation. |
