What you can do is put a small rubber washer (o-ring) onto the screw once it is throught he clamp hole, so you don't lose the screw. There is an aftermarket clamp though. Seen it in a few shops (Pro tackle in Changi as it). This one has a loop on it so you can attach your safety line, which I think is a great idea! About $16 though. |

| Moderator | Re: better reel clamping set for 4000p Sorry, I don't know of an aftermarket clamp for the 4000P, although I bet there have to be a few out there. I would however like to post a word of warning on the "Screw in Nuts" (parts 123 + 126)with threaded holes (lemme call them "SIIN") that you bolt into the reel frame to attach the clamps own bolts.... The SIINs are made of chromed brass and I think that they are a taper fit thread, so when they screw in, they fasten VERY tightly. When attempting to remove them, please be very very careful , 'cos if they are a bit stuck, you can easily break off the damned things, leaving a broken shaft in the hole that will then take some pretty painstaking drilling and tapping to get out without damaging the frame. This has happened to me twice now, so I now have a policy of not removing the damned things if they don't loosen out under a bit of pressure. Hope this doesn't happen to anyone else. Regards, Saimee

Btw the drag mod works greats. But sadly, till now yet to really test it to a bigger load, biggest catch caught is around 4kg eagle's ray..n a metre long shark. :P *still waiting* | |
