    Kettler dude, sorry I missed this post earlier.

    Firstly, are you sure there is a Daiwa Grandwave SA20 or SA30?....

    As I understand it, the SA designation was for the Saltigas and Saltists.

    To my knowledge, the Grandwaves come in a 20, 30, 40 and 50 sizes some highspeed versions, quite a few variants etc etc, but none holding the designation "SA".

    If its Saltists/Saltigas you want, I am pretty sure I saw some available amongst the beach road angling buffet.

    Regards,

    Saimee

    Kettler dude,

    Have you tried the beach road shops for this reel. I seem to recall seeing a 30 size Grandwave in one of the smaller shops last year, maybe try Hong Guan or the other shops dealing with Daiwa. I would be very surprised if they did not carry this reel.

    The reel should come with a clicker, I have yet to see a Grandwave without a clicker. If they really do not have this reel, why not get a Saltist 30 or 40 or a Torium 30?....

    Regards,

    Saimee

    Re: Grandwave Series

    There is actually a reel called a Saltiga Surf 30;

    Check it out at Daiwa Fishing Equipment

    Also, as far as "big game" goes, what kind of species are you looking at and where would you be fishing?. I have seen the Toriums and Saltists land some pretty big fish...
