Ok, seriously.....I've also considered other dates too but either too close to our last Tanjung Pinang trip on 25th Sept or we'll risk having to use batu giling XXL over there to get those baits down...got what I mean.

Anyway, like I always mentioned...these are all just possibilities & options for us to seriously consider & take into account before arriving to any decision...whatever it is, I will always try to place the team's interest above anything deems personal in nature.

Yes, we met up with Bro Saimee (Siamese twin of Bro Edros) & Pengiran Zul (lost twin of Bro Zul) from Brunei. Present were Brothers RK, Edros, Sani, Pardi, Zul, Karim, Lim & last but not least my humble self. It was a well informed session covering topics on non other than "Fishing In Brunei." Looks like Brunei trip is in the pipeline for Team Sepak Fishing Calendar in 2006.

Here some details on Pulau Kapas.

Firstly I was advised to go to Pulau Tenggol than Pulau Kapas, by most of the anglers and charters I have spoken to, XL size fishes in Tenggol.

Anyway here are rough estimate on the damages
Assuming
1) drive from JB on the 2nd nite ourselve or hire van reach Merang/Dungun - 8-9hrs
2) ETA early mornong 3rd and straight leave to fishing spot
4) come back 5th early morning or 4th nite
5) drive back to JB 5th morning

Pulau Kapas
Package 1 PEr person RM500/person all in all (inlcluding 15% safety margin)

Fishing Boat RM700/24 hrs or 1400/48 hrs (if we take 48 hrs - maybe can sail to Tenggol on the second day- TBC)
Hotel room Rm50 person (Marang)
Transport RM100ea
inlcude food, bait, ice 1nite hotel stay


Package 2 - is we stay on the island , this still waiting for reply, should be around the same cost as above, but waiting on boat availability

Thanks Suresh for the valuable input...I'm looking at Tenggol if by hearsay & precious advise from kakis there,rather than Kapas.

Just a question of interest...these costing (Rm 500.00 ea all in ) are base on how many pax min?

The boat is slightly expansive RM1000, this boat man is in Kelantan but very famous...have to sail long hours to Kapas from Besut. travelling cost remains... I more Island package and one more kaki from KL to get back to me. Am working on getting some info from fishing around that area as well

Anyway the 2 other charters:
By the way both asked me to go to Tenggol again today

1)Cuti malaysia charter/trip organiser Pulau Kapas -
-Rm290/person hotel package on the island
-RM400/7hrs boat for 7-10poeple , 36hrs fishing will cost us around RM293/person
- Transport RM100ea assuming we drive or hire van
- total all in all would be RM683/person without safety margin

2) Anjung Kail in KL can only confirm this Friday afternoon, and I have asked him to quote for Tenggol Isand.

WOuld suggest
1)we leave 2nd 10pm nite , I can drive my uncles van..I know the road to take etc etc
2) ETA Marang 3rd MOrning around 6am
3) breakfast wash up somewhere (need to check where to do this) and board boat around 9-10am 3rd
4) ETA back to jetty 4th nite 10am - check in hotel and have a good sleep
5) Check out and drive back to JB on the 5th - I can drive given we follow step 4 - if we skip step 4...tak larat driving ..nanti Nemo dalam longkang...


This second charter who supose to come back to me..should have a good deal..thnk it would be slightly cheaper..and they organise many fishing trip(Anjung Kail).. but meantime we can start discussion. Would think RM500-600 should be enough for each kaki...and also recomend Tenggol Island as oppose to Wooly wool..wooly Island.
