Rep Power: 4 | Ok finally the full Catch Report for Mission "Mirror" Possible..... The cast: TT, Darrenzzzzzz, Lat-1, Lat-2, Suratman, Sani & Bro RK After tt picked me up, we went to get Suratman in YT..maaaann, the guy standing below the MRT track got bombarded with lucky pellets from En. & Puan Pidgeon  ....which he ogt rid off once we reached C-Village. Once all rations & squad assembled, we hit off on Wak Chong boat to get $50 worth of prawns from K-12... looking at the turnout, Chong suggested to top up another 10 bucks..just in case, which we decline of course.Scene-1: The Great Piles - drift fishing is the order here and already there was another boat ahead of us. Not much action but Chong was his usual self...never failed to move around wihtout prompting if nothing comes up. Lat-2 got hit 1st with cute Tanda followed by tt with a nice table size Grunt, another Grunt before Sani lost a est 2kg Grouper on surface...damm the circles never set deep enough I guess. Darren got a palm size Leng Chiam before I hit 2 little groupies. On our last drift spot, me finally hit a nice kg size Mirror after which thing were prety quiet close to noon. Some kakis settled down on their lunches before Chong decide to move to his fav mirror spot close to NB to catch the residing tide around 1.30pm. Scene-2: The Green Spot- With great confidence & enthusiasm, Chong predicted that the Mirrors should be coming close to 2.00pm & will be gone by about 5 pm. There was another boat already anchored there with some young bare bodied kakis....hmmmm.... talking bout getting solar energised,..those guys certainly knew how to recharge. When the clock hit 2.15pm...bamm.! ....I think tt got hit on the 2nd Mirror, folllowed by Suratman and Lat-2 again. The hits got furious when kakis on both starboard & portside registered hits simultaneously until the anchor "baby line" snaps which caused the boat to loose some ground and off position for a while. A 3rd boat joined us there and heard from Chong the 2 crews are brothers, surviving on catches using nets but for a change that day, they fish on rods....4 rods + 1 handline to be exact, all by only one of em'.  All this while Sani was still using circles and he confessed to me later that he had lost 3 before he got his 1st hit on J-hook. The last mirror was hit by tt close to 4.30 pm after which things became quiet and all live prawns had been used up signalling the end of the mirror frenzy.  In all if I can remember vividly, both tt & Suratman PBP (Pelted By Pidgeon) got 4 hits each, Lat 1 & Lat-2 got 3 , Chong got 4, Sani 2 and both Darren & yours truly got 1 each. Total lost hit & burst line: Chong -2, tt - 2, Sani - 3, Bro RK-2 -Lat 2-1, Darren -1. As claimed by some kakis, it was indeed a great trip by local standards and the only setback was our unsuccessful attempt to break the record of 29 Chermins ever registered on Chong's boat...if only those misses turns to hits...who knows whats gonna happen BTW, all the Chermins are around 1 - 2.5 kg range..... Bro, I think it's bcoz of being pellets by pidgoen that's why you guys got that lovely collection of cermin  Next trip don't forget to be pelleted by..... try crow who knows pidgeon......cermin, crow.....GT  .Regards Zaini
