Boxing day trip with "Burn"

Just a short & quickie report so here goes....

Anglers: Zul Zikista, Tommy tt, Hj Pardi , my 2 kiddos Luqman & Taufiq plus myself...

Weather...nice & cool whole day
Currents ...good & conducive..no.4 - 5 sinker is sufficient
Catches .... I'll give a 9/10 for Tekong/Pengerang outing

Just came back from KL the night before but I still got some energy left to make this trip and my 2 kids almost got left behind as they're struggle to get outta bed but thankfully tt was kind enough to wait a little longer. So off we go and picked up Zul along the way and head to CV to meet up with Hj Pardi DD.

Slight overcast in the morning when we started our trip but it warms up nicely from noon onwards. On our 1st spot my son Luqman lost a parrot while trying to lift it into the boat but in less than 15 mins I got one table size. Followed by Hj Pardi at the rear with a couple of nice table size tandas and a Chermin. We moved to the 1st grouper spot but again some nice tandas were caught as currents were a little strong. Burn decided to move closer to shore but not much action here.

Off we go to the burst line spot...almost everyone got a hook up here except for Zul so I asked him to change his Dupont leader as I suspect the guys below are a litle spooky today and pass him my suffix FC. He was using his recently acquired Berkely rod from a forumer SB and his luck changed dramatically with a new leader.

Over here good size of ACK's were registered and those on the front end and mid section of the boat were pulling up fish after fish after fish..... Hj Pardi was suprisingly a little quiet at the back. After lunch around 1.30 pm, "Burn" decided to try out another grouper spot but due to presence of some winds, the bearing was somewhat off slightly. Here was where the action was real hot till Zul the anchorman cannot tahan hold on for too long that he had to "dsicharge" some "toxic" waste behind the boat.

So a great opportunity for Hj Pardi whose been complaining of why there's a lack of action behind each time Zul secured the anchor True enough, he hooked up a nice 1.2 kg grouper as soon as he moved to the front. Here was where I got the biggest grouper of ard 2 kg and almost everyone was pulling up different species like Groupers, Chermins, Tandas, Gelamas, Flatheads, Stingray and Tebal Pipi.

Due to the non-stop frenzy, we ran out of baits around 3.30 pm and decided to call it a day and head back to shore early.

In all, a nice trip after back from holiday....enjoy the pics

Rgds & Happy New Year to All..

No problem Zaini on the logo so WELCOME to Team SEPAK .

Memanglah kalau ikutkan hati malas nak pergi as badan macam nak rak when Hj Pardi called me to reaffirm my presence minutes after I reached home.

But I somehow felt strange that it just....I mean I gave my word alrite but I can just feel that this could just be our day to experience the good pull on the shallow waters of Tekong.....and of course I'm delighted with the outcome .

Secret Recipe tu tak ade lah tapi nak kena makan banyak tempe yg di rebus dengan ayer sungei..

Rgds

Hi guys, here are few more pics that i have it loaded. Thanks to brada RK for the flourocarbon leader and the line really does magic to my tackle and the Berkerly rod really goes well with my Abu 6500C3. To the forummer brada Sunburned, who sold me the rod...thanks bro, i will take care of the "beauty"......yeah bro skill and luck does play a part.....especially when anchoring at the correct spot, still got lil' problem getting it right.

The Grouper aka Green Eyes spot was a superb test for me.....hooking up those buggers one after another, if not for my churning stomach...i would have "pau kau liao" all the "Green Eyes" ...ehehhe. Basically, at that very spot most of us haul a good size grouper and not forgetting our lil' kid Taufik.... a superb size Tebal Pipi / Gu hood......as for me all been achieved only still waiting for the Chermin to get hooked...maybe next time eh. Now, cheers and enjoy lah the remaining pics.

Rgds,
ZUL ZIKO

Thank god, brada RK had found a co-anchorman...so you and brada RK can take turns this time. Sunburned, i guess now you can start to zeroing your Styer sniper rifle from your window. Btw, dun forget 25th Feb and this saturday, hope you can make it eh.

Alamak! I have very bad experience with anchor pulling. After my last attempt I had to have 3 specialist visits, 1 operation, and 2 weeks of recovery from operation... Eh brader, can get your tekong to invest in an anchor winch or not?

With telescopes that can see the craters on the moon, who needs Styer scopes?

Cheers,
Sunburned
