SW10000HG/STL10000FA for me , Saltiga has weakness in bail-arm due to plastic compenent wearing off after repeated use and it won't maintain the high drag setting for long .

    Hi Chris
I will prefer SW 10000HG also...
More smooth and got extra spool.....

    Cheers

    Chris,
To go for hardcore, the line capacity & drag (smooth on high drag) are important for those giant out there. My Twinpower 8000 manage to load 200m of 65lb braided line only. Somebody tested on twinpower 8000 and said the max drag(out of box) is around 8.5kg only. My friend said that I will be lucky if I manage to catch a 30kg GT on my twinpower

Rod might need 50lb class and above with strong backbone since you are going to those monster area.
