| Junior Member | Need help To all popping Sifus i need a big help, i have my eyes on the HOTS Gipang 72M for popping from shore. looking for PE6 rod that can cast poppers 80gms. what i need is a rod that can easy on the cast but with butt power. the last trip i went popping at the same place, i landed only a 9kg GT, 15 hits. 7 hook ups, land 1.....the rest got cut off by the reefs. tackle used hots gipang 67, stella 8k. but i find the 67 a little too short... need something slightly longer... thks for the help...leaving again this sunday.. |

| Super Moderator | Re: Need help Dave, if you're new to the game and don't really use big lures, don't touch the Caranx. They are no nonsense sticks built for big fish and will work better with larger lures/heavier lines (except for the Light Pleasure) Go check out the older Ocea GT 82MH. You will know what I mean. |
