Vfox Jigging Rods

Saw some pretty decent looking VFox jigging rods at Changi Pro a few days ago... not exactly cheap considering the price tag shows $200+ for the models I picked up from the rack. Anyone here tried them before? Are they cheaper in M'sia?

Re: Vfox Jigging Rods

They are supposed to be made from Expert Graphite Blanks. If it's 200+, sounds like a good deal as the Expert Graphite Blanks cost something like 115 - 140 region. I have a PE2-4 and a PE 6-10 Rod build from the Expert Graphite Blanks, tried the PE 6-10 on the Samsons and have no problems nor complains with it. A good Value for Money! Hope this helps.

Re: Vfox Jigging Rods

Hey thanks for the input! I was eyeing the lighter version few evenings ago and was impressed by the components it was fitted with Just wondering if the blank is any good. If it survived Samsons... then it must be pretty decent!

Re: Vfox Jigging Rods

Did Lifted 11kg Dead Weight off the ground on their PE4 Blanks and 20kg Dead Weight off their PE10. They have almost similar ratings as the JM except for the JM, i've personally witness 24kg Bucket off the ground on their formally rated 27kg now rated 30kg - JM 500g Blank. So i guess these Expert Graphite Blanks like the JM Blanks have no issues holding onto their stated dead weight.

BUT! For the rod actions & lifting power, you will have to be the judge.

Re: Vfox Jigging Rods

I have a used vfox 7' 20-40lb, Fuji Sic Guides. I use the rod to fish for tuna twice in Mexico. If anyone is interested please PM me because no one in America knows about these rods.

Re: Vfox Jigging Rods

I had a PE3-6 Expert custom build, butt joined, length is 5 feet 8.

it is a casting version, and I matched up with Saltiga Z30, so far can jig up to 250-290gm jig, no problem.
