woh Mark !!!

Mariana ... the kingdom of mama Dogtooth Tuna.

Last time Dave Irving had an interest to make a trip there but the idea was killed off due to "very" expensive charter costs ...

Do you happen to know the costs and all that?

I was looking through the pictures and noticed they stayed at Saipan Ocean View Hotel

Saipan Hotel and Resorts - xxx

Maybe the hotel could arrange the fishing for us?

Cheers,
Edy

Re: Sevenseas Northern Marianas action

Hi Edy,

I haven't looked into fishing at the Northern Marianas but I gather that Joshua has the contact for the "green boat"

Of course the region has produced some huge dogtooth but I think it's a big gamble there...some trips don't seem to yield good fish...variety seems limited too...

Anyway, if I want to catch a big Dogtooth Tuna badly, i'd still go back to Rodrigues Just one amazing spot alone has yielded 30 doggies over 50kg...and some massive Dogtooth Tuna heads, victims of shark attacks that could have easily been over 90kg easily have been retrieved...There's still a lot of unexplored drop offs around the continental plate off Rodrigues...the bigger doggies may still be deeper too

And if i had the $$$$$ and time, Marion reef and Kenn reef would be top on my list for shear variety, numbers and size...but that's just a dream for now

tight lines
