Sevenseas blanks for sale?

I recently fished with someone who says he got a Sevenseas rod customized locally in Singapore. He bought the blank from a tackle shop at beach road and got it built locally. He says that the blank comes with warranty and proof of authenticity as well. Interesting that Sevenseas is keen on selling their blanks overseas.

Hi Mark ,

The same claim has been made to Carpenter selling blank , it turns out to
be un-named blank made to look like Carpenter rod ! The only way to have
customised Carpenter is to specially order one or rebuild one from the rod that has it's warranty expired .

That's what I thought too Jon, Japanese tackle manufacturers generally not too keen on selling blanks. See you on sat!

Cheers

Hi MarkR,

I personally check with Matsutani that they don't sell blank. They only customs built only.

Hi Josh ....... can you ask Matsutani the next time you speak with him why he doesn't consider you an agent or distributor or his products. Very weird right??

Interesting to know Sevenseas blanks are available in Singapore. As Joshaua had said they only sell fully make rods not blanks alone.

I believe for the agent and distributor issue, it's the policy of sevenseas for not appointing any agent or distributor. Dealers through direct or through Japan middle man is possible.

I Think those who fish at Taiwan water should know who's the 7seas agent, they do carry 7seas blanks b4 . They are going to Palau soon with Matsutani n team Kingfisher.

Hi Makaira,

Thanks for your concern.

Anyone here can be a Agent or Distributor if you had US$100K pay up front.

So anyone want to be Agent or Distributor, you are most welcome to take over the dealership from me. hahhahahahha...

i don't think i my so crazy since the discounts i am getting now still the same as any agent or distributor, what the point! kekekkekeke

Hi Dchenng,

Since you are so worries on the warranty better it is better for you to get from Mr. Matsutani directly. My order is full for is year and next maybe you can try on 2009.

HI Joshua - To me warranty is very important especially when problem arises and how seller deals with it. Dealership direct with maker or through middle man is a total different ball game, especially when it comes to warranty issue. Just like selling cars, difference between distributor and parrallel importers.

BTW thanks for your kind gestures for me to order rods from you in 2009. I believe by that time I'll have enough Sevenseas products.

Mod - Kindly lock or delete this thread as I've got my answers. Thanx

Huh? why close the thread?

By the way I am thinking of ordering a customised rod from Sevenseas also, DCheng, maybe we can make an order together and thus save on some shipping cost.
How about meeting me up and see how what we can work out?

Contact me on 97458808.

Hi Josh,

I believe your Seven Seas products come directly from Seven Seas and not through any middleman or parallel source right? Please correct me if I am mistaken.

Best regards,
Makaira

Sorry Narc. Not able to meet you up as just recieved another notice leaving this Sunday for another 2 years working stint in Dubai. Lots of things to settle, hate this kind of short notice.

I'm afraid we can't share the shipping cost as the i'm asking them to sent it to Dubai.

Thanks Josh. As far as i'm concerned, Matustani gave the green light to place custom orders through Deep Sea. No ifs or buts, no caveats, he just said, "yes, please go ahead".

Jos,

Any possibility of bringing a one full range over? its so damn hard to buy something based on hear-say-see. Esp so for that kind of price one pays.

Jus a thought thou.

Hi Joshua,

I believe I'm quite well inform of the dealings on sevenseas product between you and Sevenseas, and also all those warranty claim issues. Hope this issue is closed and no more beans are spilled.

Thanks
