If people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles.

Hi Edy,
Hard getting hold of these jigs. Lucky for me I got some lighter ones from Mikey
Supposed to be a killer for Seriolas like AJs & Yellowtails and Hapukas in NZ too![]()
Here's the link to the maker's website:
カマ工房
Kamada-san I believe. Sent an email to him sometime back requesting to purchase a couple and he replied saying that he could not keep up with the demand so too bad for me
cheers

sorry i am rather new in jigging but ever heard some expert jigging fisherman quoted as "let work on the jig not for the jig to work for you ...... " so what you have the most exp and beautiful jig in this world but if you donn how to work on the jig it is as good as zero.
i believed not all jigging fisherman able to jig like those japanese pro jigging master and they have all the advantages to make their own designed jig to work wonder since this is their rice bowl.
does anyone here even ask yourself how many field tests that this japanese pro anglers going through on their beloved product before they put up for sale ? if one have plenty of money to go around the world to test their jigs then i believed in no time your jigs will get you what you want.
not trying to pour cold water here if this sanme jig is the killer for aj then i strongly believed it also work wonder for samson fish in perth in actual fact most of the jigs are killer for samson fish.
Frankly, I think it is quite often the case of tackle catching the angler![]()
Tackle testers often fish in the most prolific & exotic location they can find. Very often, the fishes there will take literally ANYTHING presented to them. Imho, if you CAN AFFORD those expensive top end jigs, or rods, or reels, or line, etc. and it boosts your confidence in catching your target fish, by all means do it. If you have to max out your credit card or starve & save at the expense of other more basic necessities of life, then forget it. Opinions differ of course.
Funny... my friend from Japan told me Sanme's ain't the best jigs for AJ's... he reckons a jig that doesn't flutter/spin/dart so much would actually work better on AJs. Anyway he gave me a bunch of Sanme's in various sizes so I'll try em out.... errr... when I get a chance![]()
Sanme jigs seem to be the best for NZ Hapukas though....another recent trip to NZ by the grouperboys:
http://www.grouperboys.com/chokoki06...howe/lo11a.htm
the 5.5lbs sanme jig cost more den $200!
sounds alot better. hahaha
Jigging Master Jigs are proven Amberjacks killer. Not much action. Drop and it will sink to the bottom fast.
Cheers

The 400-500gms retails around $30 plus about 2 years back but i believe they should be cheaper now. If the price remains unchanged, then don't buy. Look for some others with similiar design.
One thing good about the JM jigs, they sink to the bottom pretty fast.

Juan bro,
Better be safe and place an order for a few Sanmes...seems like the Sanmes are the Hapukas' favorite dish![]()
Only 650g available...think u know where to get them but better be quick quite a lot reserved...
For YT, I suppose any long jig would work well...
cheers
heard my singapore friends said the jigging master jigs or ag jigs are only good in taiwan for the aj and dog but they seem don't work else where![]()
one of local freind here who went maldives last year got zero hit on the ag jigs but the rest of the other brands jigs produced good results![]()
hiya Mark,
FYI the sanme jigs are not only deadly on NZ Hapuka (Grouper) but also on the Kingies (Yellowtail). On your trip to the 3 Kings you will catch both fish in the same locality. If I were to have only one jig - this would be it. I also have some 360g jigs coming and they should arrive here before your trip. You could also use other brand long jigs for Kingies and they will be effective - but nothing out fishes the sanme! Because the design is not so streamlined, you need to use the heavier 650g jig most the time in 130 - 180m deep, normally a 500g jig would suffice.
Don't worry man, I have some to put aside for you. Mogi San has sent me 50pcs now & another 50pcs later. The jig maker is throwing his hands in the air at the frustration of another big order he cannot supply!
If anyone wants to purchase the Sanme jigs, please contact me at - chris@bcsent.co.nz.
Chris
Don't you believe it! I had the AG club jig with me at the 3 Kings (NZ) last year and Mr Liu caught heaps with all JM jigs. As a result I now stock & sell the "Rocket" jig which is deadly on Kingies & also Hapuka. The slender design of the jigs means you can jig them fast which really gets the Kingies biting.
Thx ChrisW for the tip. Have emailed you. Will stock up JM jigs for the trip as well![]()
