Rep Power: 4 ![]() | Samson vs amberjack vs yellowtail kingfish Hi. Just curious to fin out if anyone has caught 2 or all 3 of the above mentioned species. I've heard that amberjacks and kingfish fight all the way to the top. As for samsons, I like the first few bursts but they do eventually tire quite quickly. Anyone able to do a comparison? |

Rep Power: 4 ![]() | I can't speak from experience but I asked this question to Mogi San. He replied explaining that in comparison to each other - Sambos gave up quickly, Amberjack's were probably slightly more powerful than Kingies but the Kingies fought for far longer than either fish and were dirty fighters too! All 3 fish are perfect to target using jigs and fish like these are helping shape the tackle that we are now using. Depending on where in the world you live, you sometimes have to make do with what fishes you have in your backyard so scale your tackle up or down to make fishing enjoyable. |
